Cookery demonstration in the Education Centre
Our Education Centre is suitable as a venue for a variety of activities such as workshops, art displays, talks, film shows, meetings and social functions and can seat up to fifty people. It is equipped with a projector and screen. There is a separate sink area and a variety of additional resources which can be provided upon request.
A group meeting on the lower balcony of the Zulu Gallery
This is one of our museum galleries which lends itself as an unusual venue for any function. Yes you do share this space with the hull of a full size Zulu the Research - along with several other boats! In this large space there are two platform areas, one above and one below the boats on display - ideal for social functions. Food and drinks can be served in this gallery.
The Education Centre and Zulu Gallery are available for hire Monday to Sunday during opening hours and by arrangement outwith normal opening times.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments can be provided for events and our Tamie Norie Tearoom is available during opening hours for hot and cold snacks and home baking. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
The Merchant's Room is an Exhibition Gallery and an extension of the Tearoom
Part of our busy Tammy Norie Tearoom, this small gallery houses monthly art exhibitions throughout the year. The displays can be on any theme, by a group or an individual artist. Any two-dimensional works will be considered. There is approximately twelve metres of wall space and pictures can be hung in double rows for most of this.
There is no hire fee for the room but we ask 20% commission on any works sold. Admission is free to the public.
If you are interested in exhibiting your work please download and send us a Booking Form.
